Problem

Opaque errors, timeouts during deploys, and extra steps like file‑splitting made imports unreliable and slow.

Approach

Introduced a clear three‑step wizard (Upload → Match → Preview), pre‑import validation with a revision file, plan checks before commit, actionable error summaries with partial‑success reporting, and a backend “process in hold” to survive deploys.

Outcome

Failure rate stabilized around 2% per import attempt (mostly invalid inputs), near‑zero timeouts, and predictable large‑file runs, fewer retries and smoother operations for HR and account managers.
